I made my dramatic entrance into the world at 3:57am on February 20, 2012. Unlike my big sibs, Cameron and Dylan, I didn’t make mom wait too long before I finally popped out!

Mom had just finished her last day of work, and dad wasn’t even packed up for the hospital yet when I started making it known that I wanted out! Mom was in denial and kept playing board games and wishing contractions would spread back out, but I made sure they didn’t! By the time, mom was checked in, it was midnight and she was already 5cm dilated (half-way there!). Everyone marveled at how well she was handling labor…until the nurse suggested she stand up to speed the process along!

Well, after those two standing pushes, I was practically out — no time for drugs, for sure — and mom barely made it back on the bed. The doctor had to tell her to stop pushing (it’s hard not to push when you’re screaming!) and Auntie Christina’s response was: “this isn’t like last time!” But, I digress.

I was 19″ and 7 lbs. 3 oz.. I got to lay on mommy’s belly, for about 2 hours before they finally weighed and measured me and washed the goo off of me. I was very quiet and content to try nursing.

I had milk right away, but I still got pretty yellow and we had to check back into Sutter when my bili level hit 17 on Day 5 at home. At first, I had to have the mask over my eyeballs just like Dylan, but then a nice doctor said I didn’t need it. My bili level dropped to 14.1 in one night with just the use of the bili bed and bili blanket and this was enough to let us all go back home the next day.

Since then, I’ve been a happy camper. My big bro and sis are super affectionate and love me to pieces and, so far, they only fight with each other.

Oh, also, I was born in the same room as Cameron and Dylan…Room 205, definitely the best room in the joint!!
