Dylan enjoyed our time in Monterey so much, he wanted to take his daddy and show him all the cool things he saw and did, so last Sunday, we went back to Dennis the Menace Park, rode the trolley to the Aquarium again, and revisited the tanks and such!
One of Dylan’s prime directives was to get on top of that steam train’s tender! It’s pretty high up there and I couldn’t help him up the ladder or climb up after him with little Doodle strapped to me in the Ergo, so he was very eager to bring Tom back to get his help (and to show him the train)!
But, they didn’t stop at just hanging out on the tender; they went all the way to the front of the train, too, and Dylan got to monkey around near the bell, the sand dome(??) and the smokestack!
We packed PB&J sandwiches, watermelon, grapes, crackers, O’s, and aw nuts for lunch and enjoyed them under the shade of a tree while we waited for a baby swing to open up. Once it did, Dylan came over to give Cameron a little push.
Here’s a picture of Cameron enjoying her ride!!
After the playground, we headed to the Aquarium. We gaped at the big tanks, visited exhibits in the Outer Bay area that we hadn’t gotten to during our previous visits, and of course, we had to go back to Splash Zone where the kids, once again, had fun playing with water and jumping on the “waterbed” thingy.
Overall, a super fun day! So much fun to be had when we are all together!!
