Yes! We did celebrate Chanukah this year, as we do every year, and celebrations just keeping getting better!
This year, we let Dylan light real candles on his own menorah while Cameron “lit” the old wooden one.
Dylan was very excited about everything Chanukah and probably cared less about his small gifts than anything else!
In addition to lighting candles each night, at bed time, we read all kinds of books about Chanukah. Dylan was especially interested in the part about the Maccabees hiding in the caves.
Cameron is obviously not really hip to the concept of lighting the candles in sequence, but she thoroughly enjoyed slipping the flames into the candles.
Chanukah hat for Dylan…
We spent the 4th night at Heather’s as it was also the day we celebrated Taliana’s 6th birthday (more to come!! What a party!)
Both Dylan and Taliana took a break from their “chef” duties to light the menorahs.
It turns out Taliana and Cameron have the same shirt! So Taliana thought it would be fun to change her shirt and take a picture with Cameron!
Chanukah was a full week! More posts coming up!
