Dylan’s preschool had a whale-watching field trip this past Wednesday and I was one of the lucky parents who got to go! It was an absolutely beautiful day and it was so awesome and so sweet to be able to join the pre-K set for the morning. Dylan had expressed an interest in wanting to ride with his pals, so it was even better that we got to carpool with Mariah and Finley (so sweet to hear their conversations back there!).
So, I’m not actually sure Dylan saw the whales, but he claims he saw the puffs of air coming out of the blowholes. This was actually my first time whale-watching…ever (!), so I was pretty excited. I even saw a whale tail!
As we were heading out to some good vantage points, teacher Cathy saw a millipede, so we all stopped to check it out.
Next time (and, by this, I suppose this means when it’s Cameron’s turn to go!), I’ll bring binoculars…Even though Dylan had a tough time seeing through them (as did I), they seemed to be pretty fun to play with. I was impressed at how well all of the kids so graciously took turns with the few that were in circulation!
Dylan liked climbing around…
Isn’t this just beautiful????
