The day after Cameron had her field trip to the pumpkin patch, Dylan had his with his class! I was stoked to be able to join them…and Dylan was pretty happy I could come along. I felt so loved! Here are some pictures from the trip.
Here are the boys just after we arrived at the farm. I can see why they’re buddies. Both are pretty calm, quiet and somewhat shy (and big Marlon confessed to me that he is also shy).
We sat through Farmer Rob’s jokes before heading out to feed the animals. Dylan had ZERO interest in feeding or touching the animals. He thought they smelled bad. I thought he had a pretty bad attitude, but after taking him aside for a minute, he joined the group and flashed me some smiles.
We walked through a corn field where the corn was at least twice as high as the adults were…Dylan and I got separated, but of course we reunited after we got out.
After the corn field, we loaded up on a tractor-pulled wagon.
Dylan had been looking forward to hitting the pumpkin patch from the get-go, so he finally was genuinely happy to be with his group!
We had a picnic lunch before heading back to the school…just in time to go home for the day!
Aren’t they sweet? It was really nice to be able to join his class for the trip and Dylan keeps asking me if I can stay in his classroom like Grandma George (a classmate’s grandma) does! I hope I can….
