Last Thursday, I had coffee with my former boss/dear friend/mentor, Jennifer. A long, long time ago (holy smokes, I think she was about my current age when we first met!), we ate lunches together on a grassy hill up at UCSC and talked about life, goals, dreams and everything in between. At that time, I was convinced I wouldn’t have kids and I shared that little piece of info with her. Last week, she shared my joy in our little #3!
Jennifer made a decision not to have kids herself, but she loved holding Chloe and Chloe was completely at ease in her arms!
It was wonderful to visit with her and to see that she is happy and healthy and joyfully retired!
