This weekend was a busy but fun one…luckily, we get an extra day to recupe! First, we went to Finley’s bday celebration on Saturday. Such sweet buddies.
Of course, Nate was there, too!
They had fun riding scooters…
…and playing soccer. Dylan was especially stoked to be on Finley’s team! He blocked some goals, too!
And Tom and Todd (Nate’s dad) tried really, really hard to get an Aerobie and a soccer ball (sent up to knock down the Aerobie) out of the tree!
We had to leave before we found out if Todd succeeded!
Before we left, we took a group photo of the kids. Of course, nobody was serious!!! I think Finley had such a great time being with all of his buddies…and Dylan, as always, loved hanging out with Nate and Finley!
But, as I mentioned, we had to leave early! We went in with Heather and Assaf for babysitting so we could go to an evening housewarming party for a mutual friend, but we decided we’d attempt a movie (The Avengers) beforehand. In order to squeeze in the movie before the adults-only party (except I did drag Chloe along with us!), we had to catch a matinee.
The kids did great with the babysitters–they had a good dinner and we heard they generally got along…even Cameron was cooperative and comfortable with the girls! Us grown-ups decided we needed to do this on a more regular basis. I hope we can stick to it!!
