Fifth week of summer was definitely very busy! We went to San Diego for Tom’s CSU meeting, squeezing in Legoland, Seaworld and dinner with the family before heading back to attend Auntie Christina and Uncle Dre’s engagement cocktail…and then I ran a half marathon and got a PR the next morning!
Here are the big kids at the party. They both wanted to wear something “fancy” and both picked out their own outfits. For Dylan, this is huge because (like me), he is totally fan of the Casual! (by the way, I’m picking these photos from flickr, so they will be all out of order. Apologies in advance!!)
The party was fantastic. We’d gotten in from southern CA at 4am and so both Tom and I were pretty beat, but celebrating the happy couple’s happy engagement perked everyone up.
And, Tom and I even got a photo together (thanks mom!)
We stopped by Lola’s house before heading to the party…it’s like Cameron’s second home!
Before the cocktail party, we were at Grandma Sharon’s and Papa Willard’s for dinner and a lovely but short visit with family. I love how the kids just get right to playing comfortably together.
We did Legoland over 2 days with a day at Seaworld sandwiched in between.
During this trip to Legoland, we tried some new rides the kids were too small to ride last year–the Aquazone Wave Racer, Royal Joust, Lost Kingdom Adventure….Also, we had great weather! It was overcast and gray, so not too hot at atll and the lines were totally manageable!
It was a tiring, but very fun week!
