The days leading up to the “Little Mermaid, Jr.” performance were very busy and full of excitement! And, finally, the day arrived. You can see Cameron is pretty stoked! And, of course, Dylan was, too.
Chloe, however, was very stressed out and overwhelmed by it all so she sat this performance out! In her own words, she “quit the show.” Good for her for knowing what her comfort level was and for finding the words to tell us! Lucky her, she got to watch the show three times! Once with Auntie Heather and the girls (who came on opening night), once with Tom (when he was on Concessions duty during the Saturday matinee) and once with Lola, Grandpa Mike, Auntie Christina, Tom and me (the last show)!
Of course, now that it is over, she is asking if she can go back to “mermaid camp!”
I spent 3/4 shows backstage helping kids do costume changes…it was pretty exhausting but it was fun seeing the kids all excited. I posted a lot of pictures on flickr, but here are a few more highlights of the kids:
Kids were servant and party guest for Les Poisson…
I’m glad I thought to take even crummy cameraphone pictures of Chloe because she didn’t make it on stage and she was just so stinkin’ cute in her costumes!
