Last Monday, Chloe had a field trip at the Seymour Marine Center! I went straight from volunteering in Cameron’s classroom to the preschool so was running a bit late. When we got to the Seymour Center, though, we discovered it was closed!!!
Well, instead of packing everyone back up and heading back to the school, though, the teachers made the best of the situation. We could still see the whale bones and the kids could still climb the sea lion sculptures, walk the path and look out at the ocean. It was still a great time … and, luckily, there was a break in the rain that day!
We attempted a group photo of the kids on this lovely bench overlooking the ocean….Chloe is waiting patiently for everyone to find a spot….
She was not into smiling, but she indulged me for a couple of shots….
She had fun while we were there despite the fact that she was pretty tired and grumpy about going in the first place! I later found out that she didn’t like wearing pants. She said she felt “like a boy.” Where does she get this stuff?!?
Here are a few other pictures, of the whales, the sea lion, etc…
We all had a difficult time getting ready for Monday, but this was a really great way to start the week! Did I mention we saw some dolphins, too?!?
