A late entry about our trip to Los Angeles…
We didn’t get to do as much in L.A. as we have been able to do in the past. Turns out it isn’t so easy to travel on the achingly slow freeways without lots of screaming from the back seat. Still, we managed to walk around City Walk at Universal Studios, eat at a couple of vegetarian restaurants (including the very good Madeleine Bistro), visit the Getty Center with Fred, Eli, and Rocky, and get some really rich chocolate cake at Urth Cafe on Melrose Ave.
The last night of our visit, Grandma Sharon hosted a party for family and friends to give everyone a chance to see The Baby Dylan. He charmed the pants off of all present, receiving lots of compliments on his smile, his eyes, his congeniality, and his ability to stand up with very little help. There was one prediction that he would be walking within two weeks — meaning, at seven and a half months. That seems unlikely; we think he’ll be tap dancing by then.
