For Halloween, Dylan wanted to be Max from Where the Wild Things Are. I had no idea what to do about this as there were no pre-made costumes available, but Aunt Christina’s buddy Angie was sooo awesome that as soon as she got wind of this, she offered to make the Max head piece! She finished it in less than a day, so then the pressure was on me to finish up the costume!
I was worried that he’d be disappointed by the costume (felt claws and white buttons sewn on to a sweat suit), but he LOVED it and so did everyone else!
By far, this was the funnest Halloween we’ve had with Dylan. He was absolutely fearless and he whole-heartedly embraced the role of Max.
Tom got super creative and did up an impromptu “Wild Thing” costume out of make-up, a wig and some comfy clothes he had laying around at home!
As it has been in the past, we participated in downtown trick-or-treating with Taliana and then went trick-or-treating in Auntie Cindy’s ‘hood with Jason (who was an “unexplainable dark lord”) and Tyler (a ninja). But, this year’s festivities also included celebrating with Dylan’s preschool. They had a little Halloween party with an itty bitty parade that went to the end of the street and around the block.
There are so many more pictures on flickr!
Poor Cameron, though, had no costume at all. She wore her cute Halloween-themed polka dot footsie outfit instead. But, luckily, she pretty much slept through the whole event anyway.
