We made it home in time to hook up with Heather and her family for our annual NYE celebration. This year, her bro David stayed in town for the festivities and for this reason, I am especially bummed that I fell asleep with the kids and missed pretty much the entirety of the drinking and gambling grown-up fun–we don’t get to see him very often any more, so it’s a shame I missed out on the chance to hang out!
Baby’s expected bday is 3/1, though, and David’s bday is 3/2, so maybe he’ll be back in town to celebrate with his family and he can meet the new little one, too.
Anyway, as you can see, the girls suited up for a long night at our place! All of the kids have been partying non-stop since our Chanukah celebration on the 23rd, so it was obvious to all of us that none of them would last until midnight!
Thankfully, Tom was well enough to enjoy himself with the “extended fam”, too, and I ended up waking up at 11:58…just in time to ring in the new year with everyone!
By report, Assaf got pretty toasted on tequila, but this didn’t impede his luck one bit…he was the lucky winner!
I don’t know how anyone else did, but here they all are (sans Tom, who miraculously, took pictures)…
We are still recuperating from the holidays…and definitely looking forward to all that 2012 will have in store for us.
