A few months back, I acquired a bike trailer from a biking enthusiast co-worker of mine! We were hoping it would inspire Cameron to bike. So far so good. We took it out for a test spin on Saturday and she just loved it!
The kids so loved biking, in fact, that we went again today!
We also went to Ellie’s 7th bday party today. And, as bad luck would have it, my camera battery totally died and my spare wasn’t charged up. My photography hobby is definitely suffering these days!
We’re about ready to bike, as you can probably tell. Chloe is just now (finally!) ok with riding in the back of the Yuba Mundo. So, today was our first family bike ride (yesterday, Tom stayed home with Chloe while I went out with the big kids).
Of course, at the Boardwalk, the kids wanted to ride a few rides which made for a pretty late night! Chloe rode the carousel and Sea Dragons and cried on both. She’s clearly overwhelmed by and and sensitive to lots of stimulation! I should mention, too, that she spent much of the concert with her head on my shoulder with my hands covering her ears to dampen the sound!
Heather has been picking Dylan up from summer camp (on his non-piano lesson days) so while he’s having a blast with the girls, I have been able to get some extra work time in. So far, we are still loving summer. The kids are sleeping until about 8 in the morning, though, and it’s been nice not to have to rush Dylan off to school by 8:30am! I think transitioning back to the school schedule will be rough!
