On Christmas Eve, we celebrated with the Taylors (Jeff’s sister’s house). They are always so kind and generous in extending an invitation to our family! And, we get to see the cousins, Jason and Tyler, for an extra day, too!
Jason and Tyler have 2 dogs, Nora and Loki, who apparenlty go everywhere with them. The girls started out the evening camped out on the couch, avoiding the dogs. But, at the end of the evening, the girls got comfy enough with the dogs that they actually pet them! Win (because then we didn’t have to haul them around in our arms all night!)!
Cameron got a hair gem thingy from HAKT, so Dylan (yes, Dylan!) did up her hair with some hair chalk and gems!
The funny thing about Cameron is that she has to use every hair accessory she can get her hands on. So, in addition, to pony tail, barettes, hair chalk and gems, she slapped a headband on her head, too!
When it was present time, we made the kids look for their presents so here’s Cameron on the hunt–this gift hunt, by the way, is what helped break the ice between her and the dogs!
Dylan got a barking dog that you can hide. You use a remote to make it bark so people can locate it.
Dylan really is a very sweet brother. He’s helping Chloe find the dog. He’s really good for her self-esteem, I think, because he always gets down to her level and praises the heck out of all of her efforts!
We did get home fairly late, but the kids sacked out immediately. I fell asleep with them, but luckily, awakened at 3am (Tom joined me around 5)…had just enough time to wrap the last-minute gifts and set up for wake-up time!
