The kids were up early on Christmas day! As to be expected…!
Santa left a few things for them — some Lego sets (Duplo train and tracks for Chloe) and they had a thing or two from Tom and me.
Santa got them a Carrom board. I’m already wondering if I want to keep it around!

After opening presents at home, we headed to Cindy’s house for the family gathering! We did our usual tofu scramble (a big hit!) plus brought some left over butternut squash risotto from the previous night’s festivities.
We let the kids play and we chatted for a bit before we dove back into the wrapping paper!
Jason and Tyler got a case of really gross soda–Dog Drool, some bacon thing, other really awful sounding flavors!
This one doubled up on her dresses: one Elsa dress beneath her old flower girl dress!
Lola still gets everyone matching jammies! This year, Jason, Rob and Chris got matching ones and Tyler and Dylan matched. Chloe and Cameron got new Frozen jammies, but Chloe didn’t want to get out of her dress! As always, we had to get the group photo of all of us in our new sleepwear!

After gifts, the kids played and played and Cindy and I chatted and chatted! We ended up heading back to Santa Cruz after 8pm or so! It was good timing. Kids sacked out on the way home so Tom and I could start packing for the road trip to LA!
