We spent Christmas Eve at Candice’s house (Jeff’s aunt)–it is always so nice that we are included in their family celebration!
As always, it was a lot of fun for everyone!
We sang Christmas carols with Jeff playing guitar….
And, got to see Cindy and Jeff (of course!) whom we hadn’t seen in a while (Jeff’s dad and step-mom were in town for Thanksgiving so we missed seeing them then).
Jason and Tyler have grown a lot since we last saw them! Jason’s voice is super deep and when I told him, he thanked me and said that he’s glad it sounds deep because “sometimes it fluctuates”. He crackes me up.
And, here’s Tyler! I love that, at 12, he still sits on Cindy’s lap. I hope my kids still do that when they’re that old!
Of course, there were presents! The girls got doll clothes for their AG dolls, Dylan got Minecraft books and a card game, plus everyone got some clothes!
Here are some other pics of the family…The above is Madison, she graduated from nursing school last year and is now into month 10 of full-time nursing work (in the surgery unit).
Bruce gave me Robo Rally(!) and an awesome lightweight beach towel. Lauren is now working as a hostess at a local restaurant. She was working that night, but managed to make it to the party by about 8:30pm!
Here’s Jeff and Jennifer’s mom–one of the kindest, most humorous and friendly people we know!
Tom got Jennifer 7 Wonders and the expansion — the Taylors also enjoy games!
And, here’s the lovely host, Candice (Jeff and Jennifer’s aunt)! She is cracking up at the gigantic oven mitts she got!!
All in all, it was another lovely Christmas Eve! We got home only at 11:26pm (yes, that precise, because Candice and Jennifer live just over the Morrissey bridge!), but the kids sacked out immediately. Tom and I managed to get to sleep by about 3:30am…!
