a what?!?

Christmas Day. The kids had gotten to sleep so late, they woke up only at 9am!!!! I woke up at regular-ish time (7-ish), but I let them sleep. I intended to start making scramble, but I was still also so tired, that I think I just sat there. I’m not sure!

Once the kids were awake, they tore into their gifts. Just a few things from Santa and a few things from us.

Dylan is just not sure why Santa got him a Rip-Stik (and, as of this writing, he hasn’t tried it yet!).

They got a lot of chocolate in their stockings. I don’t know what we were thinking!

Cameron finally agreed to dress up her doll in the new outfit she got from Candice and Cindy M. Turns out she likes the outfit quite a lot!

As soon as tofu scramble was made and we got all gifts packed up, we headed to Cindy’s house…We were only 3 hours late!

We got there just as they were finishing up passing out presents! Chloe was still kind of overwhelmed by everything, so at first, she just rummaged around in her bag of stuff she brought!

As usual, my mom got pajamas for everyone! The big nephews got different ones from Dylan and Tyler….

Here’s the whole clan! It was great that both Rob and Chris (and Emily and Alex) were there, too.

our tree

And, boom, just like that, another Christmas is done! This last pic is of our tree, taken around 3am, a quiet and peaceful moment — and the moment when I stood there and hoped that all of our preparations would yield happy family memories for the kiddos.
