Yep, we are still experiencing a significant lag time between actual birthday and the birthday celebration! But(!), we are improving. This time, the celebration was only ~3 weeks after the actual day rather than, you know, over a month or so….
Chloe is still pretty into Moana, so that was the bday theme. We invited some preschool buddies as well as a few family friends and had a romping good time at SC Gymnastics. The cakes (both vegan, one gluten-free) were from Buttercup Cakes and were beautiful and delicious. Our little Thing 3 was as happy as a lark.
It was really hard…ok, impossible…to get a good group photo!
Here is the early crew warming up:
The Tumbletrack is always a hit…with everyone!
And, the rope swing is a hit, too!
Here’s our #1 son with a flower hair piece !
Chloe, hiding from Auntie Heather:
Here’s our happy baby, no longer a baby…
The cake! Thank you to Heather for adding the Moana figures.
The other cake! Buttercup Cakes did the frosting wave-like…
Big bro with cheapy party favor sunglasses:
And Chlo-ana (we got her a little Moana outfit…She loves it!):
And, yes, she certainly does have a lot of personality!
It has been such a joy seeing just how this little person is growing and changing. She is definitely her own personality–jovial and goofy, super articulate and yet still such a little thing. She is the youngest and she knows it.
It’s hard for me to believe that she’ll be in Kindergarten in Fall and that our days of all of this sweet lap-sitting (yep, she still prefers my lap to a dining room chair at meal times) and the carrying (yep, I still do carry her here and there) are probably numbered. I can no longer carry Cameron except by piggy back so I know the time will come, very soon, when I won’t be able to indulge either me or Chloe with an “uppy!”
