We spent one day at Disneyland–a very busy day, I might add! We were told that we might be turned away because the park might be at capacity! While we sat and ate our lunch (brought from home–middle Eastern food that Grandma Sharon got for us as well as Gangadin leftovers and sushi from Whole Foods for the kids), we decided it might not be such a bad thing! We could check out California Adventure for free (which we’ve never done!!). As it turns out, we made it into Disneyland.
My MouseWait Android app had the crowd index at 88/100. We could barely move the stroller through the crowds and we never made it to Small World because we waited until evening and, by then, the line was an hour wait. Also by then, the kids were pretty much done. Nobody even wanted to stay for fireworks!
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the day.
Here’s Dylan at the White Rabbit’s door while we wait in an extremely long line for Alice in Wonderland. Luckily, it was also parade time, so while we waited, we also got to see some of the floats and performances.
Cameron’s new faves are Daisy and Donald duck.
Everyone still likes Mickey and Minnie…I forgot to ask Dylan if he thinks they’re real.
At long last, we were able to take the kids on the Haunted Mansion! For the past several visits, it’s been closed for redecorating (for Halloween, I think!).
Afterwards, Dylan wanted to take the raft to Pirate’s Lair (previously known as Tom Sawyer’s Island). This is the first time I’d ever been there!

We’d been having so many late nights and so much excitement, it wasn’t surprising that Cameron was exhausted. She really was having a very tough time.
But, once we were on the island, she really rallied!
Dylan loved exploring every corner of that island!! We went on every bridge, climbed up to the treehouse and took just about every path.
Our last rides for the night were the carousel and the train. See you next time, Disneyland! Next time, we’ll come back when it’s less crowded!
