Cameron and I went to Rodoni with her class the previous week, but Dylan’s class had no plans to visit a pumpkin patch this year, so we decided we would all go back for a family trip.
When Cameron and I went, the weather was balmy and pleasant. This time around, it was super windy!!
One of the (many many) things I love about Dylan is his enthusiasm and his willingness to help! He preferred a wagon over a wheelbarrow, but it was extremely crowded that weekend, so he made the best of the situation.
Chloe spent a lot of time saying she wanted to go to the car because of the wind!
During Cameron’s field trip, we went through the corn maze twice!! So, Dylan wanted to try it, too. As luck would have it, the first paths we chose led us right out!!! I was somewhat relieved. Wasn’t sure if we’d be trapped in loop-land like we were last time!
Everone but Chloe was extremely enthusiastic about finding the exit! Although, wait, I take that back. While we were in the corn maze, she was very supportive saying things like, “there’s the flag. I see the flag” and “go towards to the ocean.”
Apparently, Cameron never gets cold! It’s windy, but she didn’t want her jacket!
Cameron taught us all sorts of Halloween-related Spanish words…including bruja (witch), espantito (ghost), murcielagito (bat) and calabaza (pumpkin!).
Dylan is developing an interest in photography! It’s very cute.
After getting pumpkins, HAKT came over to carve.
It’s great. We did very little work this year! We just put the kids to work!
This man has some mad pumpkin-design/carving skills! Who knew?!
I haven’t posted Halloween pics yet, but soon…soon…!
